Our subscription services
The Basic subscription
- A electronic tag system.
- Operates a passive reporting system which allows whoever recovers a USB memory stick to securely send a private electronic message to the subscriber in our system.
- This requires the subscriber to contact the finder directly to arrange recovery.
The Extended subscription
- This operates as a Freepost return system in the United Kingdom area.
- The finder simply uses the Freepost service to return the recovered device to us.
- We subsequently return the device to you; it offers complete anonymity and a hassle free service.
What can it be used for
- Any USB flash memory storage device or MP3 player that is recognised as a mass storage device by your operating system.
How it works
- Once you are a subscriber you download your electronic ID file from your account page.
This is a passive file that holds your anonymous identification information and is loaded onto your USB memory key / MP3 device. It is not tracking software.
- You identify the device as covered by our subscription servcie, or you can purchase a FinderFob and attach this to your device. Our Finderfob gives information to the finder on what action to take next.
- For Basic subscribers the action is to leave contact details on our electronic messaging system.
- For Extended subscribers the device can be returned in the United Kingdom via the Freepost service or use our electronic messaging system. The same electronic ID file is used by both services to identify the owner of a device and facilitate its return.

I am not a subscriber can you find my USB memory stick
- No. We can only identify memory devices that contain our anonymous subscriber ID information.
I did not load the electronic ID file to my device, can you find my USB memory stick
- No. We can only identify memory devices that contain our anonymous subscriber ID information.
I have lost my USB memory stick can you delete its contents remotely
- No. We operate a passive system of device return to the original owner, relying on the honesty of the person finding the device to return it. We do not offer a remote delete functionality.
I have let my subscription expire can I still get my USB memory stick back
- If somebody recovers your memory stick we can arrange recovery at your original subscription rate for a one-off payment currently set at £ 15.00 handling fee. You will have to re-subscribe to continue cover at the normal , existing rates.
