Terms of our USBStickfinder subscription service

Basic Service

  • We will maintain availability of our servers for maximum practicable uptime on a 24x7 basis 365 days a year. Enabling identification of recovered USB memory sticks and for the operation of the Found it messaging and reporting service.
  • We will notify you immediately, by e-mail, once a recovery report is made by Electronic ID, on our messaging system. Providing the full recovery report in our private messaging system for subscribers on our servers.
  • We reserve the right to block or remove users who abuse this system for the purposes of sending spam or nuisance electronic mail.
  • We will not be liable for the recovery of damages should the user ID file be corrupted or unreadable by the person recovering the device, subsequently making the reporting of a recovered device impossible.
  • It is the users responsibility to ensure the user ID file is intact, valid and loaded onto the users device at all times in the location identified in the instructions on the USB memory stick.
  • We will not be liable for any losses caused, incurred or implied by the loss, damage or misplacement of a users USB memory device and/or its non-recovery.
  • We will not be liable for any damaged caused by the operation of our software to the users USB memory device or any computer on which the said device is used or operated upon.
  • It is the users responsibility to ensure that they have the latest Anti Virus software in operation and takes adequate measure to ensure there is a back-up of the data and information stored on the USB device and it is stored in a manner that is not likely compromise the users identity or security should attempts be made to use a lost or found USB memory device in an inappropriate manner.
  • The user shall not use or abuse the USBStickfinder system to create, propagate or distribute software, data or information that may damage, compromise or otherwise adversely affect any computer system used in the recovery process by any individual.
  • We subscribe to a 'Fair use' policy and reserve the right to take any steps to maintain our levels of service for our user base without consultation. This may result in limiting, blocking or otherwise restricting a users level of service on a temporary or permanent basis.

Enhanced service.

  • We will provide a UK national first class Freepost return service for recovered devices for Enhanced subscribers. Upon return we will notify you immediately, by e-mail, through our messaging system, that a recovery has been made. The recovered device will be returned to you through the normal postal service. Unless other arrangements are requested at additional charge to the subscriber.
